Etracurricular Activities
At WGS, we believe that education extends far beyond the classroom. Our extracurricular activities provide students with a wealth of opportunities to explore their interests, develop new skills, and build lifelong friendships. This page serves as a gateway to the exciting world of co-curricular activities that await our students.
Sports & Athletics
Our annual Athletics Carnival is an eagerly anticipated event that showcases our students' athletic abilities. Featuring sports competitions like sprints, long jumps, high jumps, and the exciting tug of war, it's a day filled with fierce but friendly competition.
Books Week
Every year, we celebrate Book Week with a creative flair. Students from Kindergarten to Year 12 dress up as their favorite book characters, bringing the magic of literature to life within our school community.
Science Week
Science Week is a week of exploration and discovery, where students delve into captivating scientific topics through hands-on activities and competitions. It's a chance for our young scientists to shine.
Debating and Public Speaking
Debates are organized throughout the year to showcase students talents and communication skills, earning accolade and recognition. Our Debate and Public Speaking teams consistently excel in inter-school competitions.
Youth Forums
Our students actively engage in the annual Youth Forum such as blacktown council youth forum, where they discuss important youth issues and share their ideas. It's a platform for them to make their voices heard.
Wellbeing Events
Our commitment to the well-being of our students is reflected in the various events and initiatives we organize to support their physical, emotional, and social development. We organize events such as disability centre visits, homeless run, cyber bullying workshops, parenting programs and many other events.
